EVAN SLAUGHTER

Evan Slaughter is an Army infantry veteran, Purple Heart recipient, creator, comedian, and advocate who has built his platform around resilience, honesty, and helping people find a way forward.

Born and raised in Alabama and now based in Nashville, Evan’s story has been shaped by service, struggle, recovery, and purpose. After deploying to Afghanistan in 2011, where he was injured in combat, Evan eventually transitioned out of the Army and began facing a new battle at home.

After overcoming opiate addiction through in-patient rehab, Evan made a decision to stop living miserably and start pursuing something bigger. He found comedy, community, and a new mission — using laughter, vulnerability, and real-life experience to connect with people who may be fighting their own battles.

Today, Evan shares his journey through military service, recovery, weight loss, pickleball, comedy, and everyday life with a message that is equal parts humor and hope. He believes laughter is the best medicine — and he lives that out by bringing people along for the ride.
